Preventing Marketers from closing opportunities that they don't own?

I'm trying to figure out a way to prevent marketers from closing other marketers opportunities that they don't own?  Would this be security role privilege?  Or would I need to write a script that prevented other marketers that don't own the opportunity to not be able to select the reopen/close opportunity button?
