Concatenated field not updating after New record Create

I am having an issue with a field not populating The field that is not populating with data after the record is created is concatenated. The to fields that are being concatenated are First name and last name to create "Name". After the new record is saved and the window is closed this new record shows up under the active employee view for my employee entity. The problem is that the name field that should be getting concatenated does not fill. If I assign it to another view, in this case my RSM view the first and last name will fill with the correct data. once I unchecked the RSM Check box, save and go back to my active employee field and view the concatenated name field the information will now show up as correctly. So the Business rule that is handling this does work but I have to make a change after the initial "Create new" record. If i do not, this field remains empty. I did notice that after first creating the record it will still say its a new employee at the top above the general tab, shouldn't this be updated to not say new after the new record is created? the new record verbiage does change after changing the view as stated above. so what could be cuasing this?
