D365 CE Unified Interface field rendering issue

No matter what size, number of columns, field label or field position I select, when the label of a field is longer than a few words, the Unified Interface forces it in to the 4 column format. In addition, if has the elipses to expand the field label if its longer than it should be. Clients complain about the amount of "white space" as it is but when you have these longer field labels, it makes it significantly worse. The only workaround I've found is to insert a web resource file, with the typed out field label (as I would want it to appear), and hide the label of the actual field. Super clunky but until someone comes up with something better, I think i'm stuck! Help!
