Workflow to check if New Leads created happens to be an existing customer

Hi all,

I am fairly new to the Lead entity in Dynamics CRM so all comments and suggestion are very much appreciated.

At this stage we have over 20,000 contacts in our database. Evidently when we create a New Lead, there are bound to have one or two who are already an existing contact. I am pretty sure that most of you would have encountered the same. The struggle that I have is that everyday we will have at least 10-20 new leads created and we only have a data entry person who only know how to enter the details in and....save. That's it.

Having so, I would like to run a Process Workflow that could potentially Check if - Lead:Name equals to Contact:Full Name.

If Yes, then update Lead as an Existing Customer/Contact. Create Phone Call Activity

If No, Create Phone Call Activity

Please advise how can I achieve that. It would be great if one can share with me a snapshot of the workflow.
